We did a search for you in the Mapleton Press,
which we have on microfilm. We found 2 articles concerning the
Joseph McCRORY death and will mail them to you.
I believe your May 5, 1920 date is correct for the shooting.
The second article which appeared in the Thursday, May 27, 1920
stated that his death occurred on June 5th. Since this would definitely be impossible we assume there
was a misprint in the paper, and they actually meant May 5th! We did not find an actual obituary any
time within a couple months after the death date.
