MARTIN

EMAIL: [email protected]

I have ordered the soundex for 1880 for this family but on the chance someone may have a connection, I will post what I know:
Peter MARTIN married 17 Oct 1852,Muscatine Co., IA to Josephine ANDERSON born abt 1830 Greene Co IN
Peter Martin born in Germany about 1829, came to Muscatine Co abt 1851, and was listed as a "Smith" for occupation on 1856 census.
Josephine signs off on her father's probate (Isaac ANDERSON) in 1859, and unless I have missed them on the 1860 and 1870 census, they seem to have moved. I have also checked the cemetery records for Muscatine Co. and see no evidence that they died there.
Josephine was a sister-in-law to John SPARKS, who was in the Pottery business in Fairport, Muscatine Co., IA. If you happen to connect, please tell me where they went.
