I visited the Swank Cemetery on July 11, 2000. Regretfully due to time constraints I could not document all the burials there. The burials we have documented for this cemetery thus far are from submittals from site visitors and from the Works Progress Administration (WPA) taken about 1939-1940. In most cases the WPA did NOT document children under 10, but the person or persons who canvassed Swank were an exception, with many infant and children graves included in their records.

Pictured above is the old Swank Church. The cemetery is next to and behind the church and is quite spread out. The second hoto is the gate and entrance to the Swank Cemetery. The cemetery extends quite a bit over to the right behind the building.

Swank is a still active cemetery, so this listing is FAR from complete. It will however give you many of the pre-1940 burials.
