At one time in the 1970's and 1980's, it was almost declared a "ghost town" but the area has seen some revitalization in recent years.  My father lived there for a time when he was a child, and occasionally took us back to River Junction to see what was left and to visit "Shotgun Annie", an old lady who guarded in the shells of the original old buildings of  "Stumptown".

The below listings from the River Junction Cemetery were extracted from the Works Progress Administration (WPA) cemetery surveys done in the late 1930's.  The lastest burial date on this list is 1937.  There are no doubt more burials at River Junction Cemetery.

Sections in yellow indicate additional information added that did not appear on the WPA survey. Items marked "FR" came from "Fork of the Rivers" by Mabel Estle Brown (deceased).  Information from this book is being used with the permission of her daughter.
