Her obituary appeared on 3 February 2009 at Las Vegas Review-Journal, Clark County, Nevada, and read as follows:
BETTY KRAMER Betty June Kramer, 85, of Henderson, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, with her children near her bedside. She was born in Downer, Minn., June 24, 1923, to Lamont and Jesse Henry. After spending her childhood in Minnesota she lived a short time in California before moving to Nevada. The year was 1945 when she became a Henderson resident. At that time, the country was still at war and she began employment at the Basic Magnesium Plant which supplied magnesium for munitions and airplane parts. Betty worked as a waitress from time to time, but her chosen career was a devoted wife and mother. Bowling and bingo were some things she enjoyed, but she was satisfied to sit down and relax with a good book. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. Kramer; sisters, Elizabeth Bondurant and Mildred Mayhue; brothers, Lamont and Alex Henry; and grandchildren, Robbie Coddington and Carol-Lynn Geddie. Betty is survived by her sister, Dorothy Lien and brother, Ned Henry; son, Scott Kramer; daughters, Lynn Embree and Carol Lassiter; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Although she requested no service, a gathering to reminisce and celebrate her life will take place Saturday, Feb. 7, at noon at her home. Donations can be made in Betty's honor to Nathan Adelson Hospice.3

She was buried at Palm Mortuaries/Cemeteries/Crematories, Nevada. Palm handled whatever was done but it's not clear whether she was buried, cremated, both, or what.4

  2. [S1325] Social Security records at Ancestry, online http://www.ancestry.com

Information posted on this site is somewhat limited. Please email me (link at page bottom) to ask for full details on sources and events for people shown, and to inquire about related people not included on the site. This is a work in progress and the information shown may not be reliable. I have much more information about some people, while for others, you're seeing all I have. I'm also in the process of editing source output but at present many sources still aren't correctly formatted, so by all means ask about full sources.
