In checking our death records here in Otter Tail County I did locate the people we spoke of. I will include for you the information provided by each one. You will notice that the early record for James provides little information but this is very common with these early records especially those from the St. Hospital as little information may have been given to them.
The following is the address to write to at the St. Hospital for copies of their medical records for these two people. Mention the dates they died. I found these records to be most helpful! Linda Winter, Records Department, Fergus Falls State Hospital, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.

Good luck in your request to the State Hospital Records.

- [S7] Letter from Lynn M. Bakke (Fergus Falls, MN) to Edith Lamb Flaa, Oct 2 1984; Flaa, Edith Lamb (former owner) (Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota). Dear Ms. Flaa:
In checking our death records here in Otter Tail County I did locate the people we spoke of. I will include for you the information provided by each one. You will notice that the early record for James provides little information but this is very common with these early records especially those from the St. Hospital as little information may have been given to them.
The following is the address to write to at the St. Hospital for copies of their medical records for these two people. Mention the dates they died. I found these records to be most helpful! Linda Winter, Records Department, Fergus Falls State Hospital, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
[info on James Lamb and Andrew G. Lamb]
Good luck in your request to the State Hospital Records.
Very truly yours,
Lynn M. Bakke

Lauree Anne Flaa1
Father | Vander E. Flaa2 b. 17 Dec 1921, d. 18 Jan 1989 |
Mother | Edith Marie Lamb2 b. 31 Aug 1920, d. 15 Nov 2012 |

Her obituary appeared at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota, and read as follows:
Lauree started her career at Metropolitan Savings and Loan and later started Brekke Construction, Inc. with her husband James. Lauree was a consummate entrepreneur having founded multiple businesses throughout her career. Her most important role in life was that of being a mom to her three beautiful babies. She also had two golden retrievers, Bohdi and Bailee, that gave her endless joy.
It was not uncommon to see Lauree volunteering at a hockey concession stand, PTA, FM Junior League and as a church Sunday school teacher. Lauree was a true lake girl at heart and loved floating in the pontoon taking in the sunshine. She was never too busy to help a friend or someone in need, and she made friends everywhere she went. Her endless optimism and positive energy guided her daily life. Known as a communicator, her unconditional love and infectious laugh were incredibly contagious.
She is survived by her husband, James; son Joshua (Jana) Brekke, Aliso Viejo, CA; two daughters, Kaira (David) Stewart, Costa Mesa, CA and Katie (John) Dickson, Kalispell, MT; 5 grandchildren, George, Edmund, Alexandra, Jonathan and Sara; brother Gary (Jeanie) Flaa, Scottsdale, AZ. Lauree was preceded in death by her parents Vander and Edith (Lamb) Flaa. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.1
