Lorna “Laurie” Muhle, 56, Fargo, ND passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was born on December 29, 1959 in Fargo to Vernon and Margaret (Sorby) Muhle. She grew up and attended schools in Fargo.

In addition to caring for her children, she also taught CCD at St. Mary’s for many years. Laurie had several jobs in the area. She taught aerobics for a while and later worked at gas stations including M&H and Dan’s Oil.

Laurie really enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. Playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, painting birdhouses were some of her other hobbies. She had a great passion for rescuing animals and loved her cat, Teddy. Laurie cherished the time she spent with her kids and grandkids, who knew her as Pama. For the last year, she was a caregiver for her father.

She will be greatly missed by her father, Vernon Muhle Sr., Fargo; children, Janice (Cole) Martin, Fargo; Brian (Angela) Cossette, Moorhead; Brianna Stevens, Fargo; grandchildren, Ashton, Addison, Brady, Sophia, Abrie, and Alexis; brothers, Butch (Joie) Muhle, Fargo; Dave (Sheila) Muhle, Lake Ida, MN; Jeff (Laura) Muhle, Fargo; numerous nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Muhle, Fargo; and baby sister, Laurel; and nephew, Joshua Muhle.

There will be a visitation from 1-3:00 PM with a prayer service following at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Interment at a later date at Holy Cross North Cemetery.

     Harlan Dale Manston was born on 17 August 1931 at Barnesville, Clay County, Minnesota.1,5,6 On 9 April 1960 Harlan Dale Manston married Shirley Ann Stulz, daughter of Alfred J. Stulz and Myrtle E. Muhle, at the Lutheran church, Glyndon, Clay County, Minnesota.1,5,6
     On 8 June 1968 Harlan Dale Manston was a groomsman at the wedding of Linda Joy Green and Ronald Allen Stulz at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota.1,7 Circa 1975 Harlan farmed at Elkton Township, Clay County, Minnesota, and had 600 acres of his own plus 280 rented acres; he raised small grain, alfalfa, and beef cattle.5 He died on 9 May 2012 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, at age 80.6

     Harlan D. Manston, age 80, of Barnesville, Minnesota died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, North Dakota.

Harlan Dale Manston was born August 17, 1931 in Barnesville, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Delia (Peterson) Manston. He was baptized and confirmed in the Downer Presbyterian Church and was a member there until the church closed and moved to Rollag. He married Shirley Stulz on April 9, 1960 at Glyndon Lutheran Church. They established their home on the Manston family farm, which was established in 1923, where they raised small grains, cattle, buffalo, and llamas. Harlan served in the Army from 1954 to 1955. He was stationed in Germany as a truck and Jeep driver. He always said he knew Germany better than Minnesota. In September 2001, he visited Germany again and found many things very different. Harlan served on the Elkton Township Board for 18 years. He also served on the Red River Valley Coop Power Board for 33 years, retiring in 2011. He also served on the Square Butte Board at Grand Forks. He enjoyed coffee with his buddies, dancing, fishing, deer hunting, playing Whist, and teasing his grandkids.

Harlan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; children: Darla (Tony) Woodson, Volare (Ken) Kuhn, Nick Manston and Bruce (Andrea) Manston; eight grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Lass; 3 brothers-in-law; 1 sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell; and sister, Marlys.6

     Nick Allan Manston was born on 24 February 1965 at Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota.2,1,3 He died on 1 November 2013 at Minnesota at age 48.3
     His obituary appeared on 5 November 2013 and read as follows:
     Nick Alan Manston was born on February 24, 1965 in Moorhead, MN to Harlan Dale and Shirley Ann (Stulz) Manston. He grew up near Downer, MN on the family farm. He attended school in Barnesville and graduated in 1983. He attended Tech School in East Grand Forks, MN.

Nick worked with his dad on the family farm for many years. He raised buffalo and llamas. He also worked for Brian Halverson on the Potato Farm and the Mainline Potato Warehouse.

Nick enjoyed his hunting dogs, deer hunting, and pheasant hunting. He loved his time at the lake. He also enjoyed his family time with his nieces and nephews. He was awarded a Century Farm that his great grandfather had homesteaded. He enjoyed traveling and visiting people. He had also won the strong man contest during the Barnesville Potato Day Festival.

Nick is survived by his mother Shirley; three siblings: Darla (Tony) Woodson, Volare "Lori" (Ken) Kuhn and Bruce (Andrea) Manston.

Nick was preceded in death by his dad Harlan in 2012 and his grandparents, Charles and Delia Manston, Alfred and Myrtle Stulz.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN. Burial will follow in Elkton Cemetery, near his home in rural Barnesville.

     Agnes Anderson was born circa March 1806 at Forfarshire, Scotland. She was baptized on 30 March 1806 at Carmyllie, Forfarshire, Scotland.2 On 7 September 1838 Agnes Anderson married James Todd, son of Alexander Todd and Jean Anderson, at Parish of St. Vigeans, Forfarshire, Scotland.3 On 13 September 1838 Agnes Anderson married James Todd, son of Alexander Todd and Jean Anderson, at Parish of Carmyllie, Forfarshire, Scotland. According to the Carmyllie parish register, they were "James Todd of this and Agnes Anderson of the Quodsacra parish of Inverbrothock."1,3 In 1861 Agnes was a laundress.4
