     Edward F Mory was born on 12 December 1860 at Ellington or Greenville Township, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.2,6,5,7 Census data indicate Edward F Mory was born circa 1861 at Wisconsin.8,9,10,3,4 Census data indicate Edward F Mory was born circa 1862 at Wisconsin.1,11 On 7 November 1888 Edward F Mory married Mary Schindler, daughter of Mathias Schindler and Julianna Wölfinger, at Appleton, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.5,6 In 1910 Edward was a carpenter (contractor).9 He died at 10:20 a.m. on 5 July 1948 at his home at 327 W. Commercial Street, Outagamie County, Wisconsin, at age 87.2
     His obituary appeared on 6 July 1948 at the Post-Crescent, Appleton, Outagamie County, Wisconsin, and read as follows:

Edward F. Mory, 87, 327 W. Commercial street, died at his home at 10:20 Monday morning. Born Dec. 12, 1860, in Ellington, he had lived in Appleton since he was a small child.
Survivors are four daughters, the Misses Edna and Rose Mory, at home; Mrs. John J. O'Hara, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Mata Snyder, Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Ida Nicklas, Chicago; 10 grand children and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Wichmann Funeral home with the Rev. Robert A. Reister in charge. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 o'clock this afternoon.12

     Arthur Edward Mory was born on 23 June 1893 at Appleton, Wisconsin.5 He was born on 23 June 1895 at Appleton, Wisconsin.2,3,4,6,1,7,8 Census data indicate Arthur Edward Mory was born circa 1896 at Wisconsin.9 On 31 October 1917 Arthur Edward Mory arrived at New York, New York.5 On 29 January 1918 Arthur Edward Mory arrived at Liverpool, England, en route to France. Departed from New York, Student.7
     On 15 November 1919 the Mory Ice Cream Copany, a corporation located in Outagamie County, was formed for the Manufacture and Sale of Ice Cream and Milk Products. Capital stock shall be $50,000 consisting of 500 shares at the face or par value of $100 with four stockholders: President Charles W. Mory, Vice-President & General Manager Karl B. Mory, Secretary George H. Mory, and Treasurer Arthur E. Mory.10
     On 20 July 1920 the articles of organization of the Mory Ice Cream Company were amended to increase its capital stock from $50,000 to $75,000 and that the stock be divided into 750 shares of $100 each.11 On 22 October 1920 Arthur Edward Mory married Ellen Olmstead Moore, daughter of Luther Hiram Moore and Mary C (?), at All Saints Church, Appleton, Wisconsin.12
     On 29 July 1921 the articles of organization of the Mory Ice Cream Company were amended to increase its capital stock from $75,000 to $100,000 and that the stock be divided into 1000 shares of $100 each.13
     In April 1922 the Mory Ice Cream Company was now licensed to transact business in Michigan as well as in Wisconsin.14 On 7 April 1922 Arthur Edward Mory arrived at New York, New York, Arrived from Southampton on the Aquitania. Address in USA: Appleton, Wisconsin.6
     On 1 January 1929 the Mory Ice Cream Company authorized capital stock (common) of $100,00.00 [sic] with amount of capital stock paid in (common) of $80,700.00 [same as in 1928, 1927, 1926].15
     On 28 December 1929 the Mory family ceased to be directors of the Mory Ice Cream Company. The new Board of Directors constituted E. T. Rector, President; E. F. Howe, Vice President; L. E. Hurtz, Secretary; and R. D. Wilson, Treasurer, all of Omaha, Nebraska.16
     On 2 January 1930 the Registrar of Deeds of Outagamie County certified that a duly certified copy of dissolution of the articles of organization of Mory Ice Cream Company had been filed. Namely, "A Special Consent Meeting of the Stockholders of Mory Ice Cream Company was held in the office of the Company at Appleton, Wisconsin, on December 28, 1929, at 3:00 P.M." Rector, with 250 shares, Howe, with 245, Hurtz, with 155, and Wilson, with 155 (all of the issued and outstanding capital stock), were present. "The President, Mr. E. T. Rector, stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of submitting the question of the dissolution of the Copany to a vote of the stockholders." They wished to dissolve the corporation as it had ceased to do business, all corporate debts had been fully paid, corporate liability was discharged, and corporate assets and property had been distributed among all persons entitled thereto.17 He died of pneumonia on 5 September 1938 at Appleton, Wisconsin, at age 43.18,8
     His obituary appeared on 6 September 1938 at Appleton Post Crescent and read as follows:

Arthur E. Mory, 43, 933 E. College avenue, died about 2 o'clock Monday morning in Appleton of pneumonia.

He was born June 23, 1895, in Appleton and had lived here since. He served in the French army during the World war and later entered the air force of the American army.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Mory, Appleton, and a brother, George H. Mory, Appleton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Schommer Funeral home with the Rev. William J. Spicer, pastor of the All Saints Episcopal church in charge. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home from this evening until the time of the funeral.8

He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin.19,8

     Violet E Sylvester was born on 21 June 1919 at Shiocton, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.2 She was born on 21 June 1919 at Waupaca County, Wisconsin.3,4,1 She was born circa 1920 at Wisconsin.5 On 11 March 1944 Violet E Sylvester married Samuel Brooks McLane at Cambridge, Massachusetts.2 Violet E Sylvester died on 23 March 2022 at State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania, at age 102.2
     Her obituary appeared and read as follows:
     Violet McLane, 102, of State College, died at Foxdale Retirement Village on March 23, 2022.

Born June 21, 1919 in Shiocton, Wisconsin, she grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Effie Schroeder Sylvester. On March 11, 1944, she married S. Brooks McLane, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he was being trained as a radar officer during World War II. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2000.

She is survived by two children, Marsha Haack and her husband, Harvey, of State College and James McLane and his wife, Eliza Hayes, of Petersburg; two daughters in-law, Annette McLane of Washington DC and Paulette McLane of Stormstown; a sister in-law, Edith Sylvester of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Curren, Christopher and Heather; three great-grandchildren, Keeghan, Hayden, and Lachlan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, David McLane and Rogers McLane; two brothers, Emery and Harold Sylvester; two sisters, Mary Ellen Critton and Alice Marquis.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin in June of 1941 majoring in related arts.

When three of her children were at Penn State, she received credits there to teach Home Economics. She taught at "Skills" in Bellefonte, an agency for the handicapped for three years teaching homemaking skills. She worked as a volunteer for twelve years at the Volunteer Service Center as the transportation coordinator. She received the Volunteer Service Center Volunteer of the Year award in 1979 for her work there. She was a driver or assistant cook for the Park Forest Day Nursery for many years. She and her husband were active in the early years of Tri County Habitat.

Violet enjoyed drawing and painting in water color and pastel. She was a member of a painting group at Foxdale after she arrived with her husband at Foxdale Retirement Village in 1989. She was a life member of the Art Alliance in Lemont and enjoyed many workshops there. She was also a member of the University Mennonite Church in State College.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Foxdale Village Auditorium, 500 East Marylyn Avenue, State College with the Rev. Kate Heinzel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centre Volunteers in Medicine, 2520 Greentech Drive, Suite D, State College, PA. 16803 or to The Community Fund of Foxdale Village, 500 E. Marylyn Ave., State College, PA, 16801.2

She was buried at Boalsburg Cemetery, Boalsburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania.2
