Albany, NY, USA, Houghton, Christopher C. HALFMOON Christopher C. Houghton, 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Ellis Hospital, with his loving family at his side. Born on September 27, 1966, in Schenectady, son of Carroll Houghton and Mary Lou (Benson) Wilcox. He is the husband of Melissa A. (Daniels) Houghton. A graduate of Galway High School, class of 1984, he worked as an I.T. manager at Teal, Becker and Chiaramonte of Albany. He enjoyed electronics and always had the newest "tech" available. Chris played the drums and was an avid music fan, who loved the band RUSH. Above all, he was a devoted family man and loved being a husband, father, brother and friend. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his children, Christopher J. and Corinne A. Houghton, a brother, Jason W. (Lynn) Houghton and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.He was predeceased by his stepfather, Frederick Wilcox; and his paternal grandparents Willis and Edna Houghton. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, October 28, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home, Inc., 2034 West St., Galway. Burial will follow in the family plot in Foster Hill Cemetery. Kindly consider donations to the or to the Foster Hill Cemetery Association in loving memory of Chris Houghton.
