A memorial service will be held today for Emily (Bissell) Houghton of Concord, former executive director of the Traveler's Aid Society, who died Sunday in Rivercrest-Deaconess Home in Concord. She was 95. Born in Springfield, Mrs. Houghton grew up in Wilmington, Vt. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees at Simmons College.

She was the executive director of the Traveler's Aid Society in Boston for more than 30 years until her retirement many years ago.

A resident of Concord, she had previously lived in Reading and Dorchester.

She leaves a sister, Helen Whidden of Greenfield.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Duvall Chapel of the Rivercrest-Deaconess Home in Concord. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington, Vt.
