Obituary

Eleanora Marie Houghton, 87, died Jan. 15, 1992 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno.
She was born Aug. 20. 1904 in Buntingville, California and had lived in the local area all of her life.
Elcanora was the granddaughter of the Dan and Barbara Dieter pioneer family that had settled in this area in 1888.
She married Cyril Houghton in 1923 and they had owned and operated Cy's Jersey Dairy from the early 1930's to the late 1950's.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Susanville.
Survivors include her sons Alvin of Mission Viejo, Calvin of Paradise and Dan of Chico. Her daughters Carrie Golden of Janesville, Lorraine Foster of Bonsall, Verna Osborn of Greenville, sister Helen Beevar of Janesville, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation was held Jan. 19 at the Lucero-Carlson Colonial Mortuary.
