Gary Houghton: My dad Luther Kenneth Houghton...After the war he moved the family back to Harrisburg for 3 years. Then we moved back to my mothers home in Melbourne Australia, where we lived for 15 years. Dad was a personnel manager for several companies in the Melbourne area. We moved back to the States in 1964. I was in college and mom and dad worked at the college for a couple years before moving on to Hershey Pa. A couple years after that dad accepted a position as hospital administrator for the Terry Children Psychiatric Hospital. He stayed there many years before buying a gas station. Oddly it was the gasoline fumes that trigger leukemia, from which he died on 28 October 1993.⁴
