EAST ARLINGTON - Mary Ella Houghton, 95, a resident of the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington and former longtime resident of East Arlington, died peacefully on Thursday evening, Nov. 30, 2000 at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Houghton was born in Gardner, Mass. on Oct. 29, 1905, the daughter of Dean and Eunice (Parker) Blyther.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Mrs. Houghton's life on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the Federated Church of East Arlington. The Rev. Joan Newton O'Gorman, pastor, will officiate. Private family committal services will be held on Wednesday in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington. Friends may call at the Arlington Chapel of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home on Route 7A on Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. The Order of the Eastern Star memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
