Luella Wilcox Houghton, 72, of 222 Parkview Street, Plymouth, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2003 at 8:08 AM at St. Joseph RMC Plymouth Campus, Plymouth, Indiana.

She was born on February 22, 1930 in Bourbon, Indiana to Nicholas and Viola (Bean) Baltes.

She married Aaron Wilcox on June 29, 1947 and he passed away on August 18, 1975. She then married William Houghton on December 17, 1976 and he passed away on January 27, 1981.

She was a past member of the Woman of the Moose. She worked for Hehr International Inc. for twenty years and retired in 1990.

She is survived by daughters, Vickie and Kenneth Juhasz of Plymouth, Indiana and Kristine and David Spaid of Linden, Tennessee; sons, Robert and Rose Wilcox of Warsaw, Indiana and Thomas and Vicky Wilcox of Plymouth, Indiana; brothers, John Baltes of Florida and Jim Baltes of Georgia; grandchildren, Lisa Taylor of Champaign, Illinois, Rodd Spaid of Linden, Tennessee, Teresa McGuire of Syrcause, Indiana, Nicholas Laffoon of Plymouth, Indiana, Israel Wilcox of Bourbon, Indiana, Erica Wilcox of Warsaw, Indiana and Stephanie Wilcox of Warsaw, Indiana. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 10:30 AM at the Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, Indiana with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, Indiana.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 18, 2003 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Van Gilder Funeral Home 300 West Madison Street in Plymouth.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Bowen Center at 990 Illinois Street, Plymouth, Indiana.¹

William E. Houghton
PLYMOUTH - William E. Houghton, 61, oí 310 N. Michigan St., died at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Plymouth. He was bom on May 28,1919, in Pierceton. He was a bartender at the VFW Lodge. On Dec. 17, 1976, he married Luella Wilcox. She survives along with three daughters, Marsha Milner, Mrs. Pat Crumb and Mrs. Cathy Baker, all of Plymouth; two sons, Bill of Los Angeles, Calif., and Richard of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, Mrs. David (Kristine) Spade and Mrs. Vickie Laffoon, both of Plymouth; two stepsons, Robert Wilcox of Plymouth and Thomas Wilcox of Argos; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Klinedinst of Plymouth, Mrs. Don (Mary) Kehoe of Centerville, Ind.. and Mrs. Ruth Patterson of Fairmont, Ind; a brother, Richard of Ohio; and his mother, Ilo Lehman of Plymouth.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the VanGilder Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Ahrent of the First Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the coronary care unit of Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. He was a member of the Eagles, the Fathers Auxiliary, the VFW and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.
