Edward A. Houghton, 46, a quality controller and planner for Honeywell the past nine years, died yesterday in Phoenix Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mr. Houghton, 2908 E. Sylvia, was bom in Massachusetts and came here 11 years ago. He was a member of a barbershop quartette in Sunnyslope and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; three children, Edward. and Paul Houghton and Mrs. Mary Desiree; live stepchildren, James and Richard Whitney. Jennifer Houghton, John Houghton, and Diana Houghton, all of Phoenix, and two sisters out of state.

Mary T. Houghton, age 87 and resident of Shelton, died March 12. She was born January 8, 1923 in El Paso, Texas, daughter of the late William & Mary Rumph Tompkins. She worked in the Richard's Pharmacy. She is survived by her son Edward M. Houghton & his wife Terri of Shelton and her sister Mary Donaldson of Vermont. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Obituary

Lorine Houghton Bilisko, age 88, of Shelton, formerly of Bridgeport, the beloved widow of George Bilisko, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Bilisko, a retired RN for Bridgeport Hospital, was born in Wooster, Massachusetts to the late Algion and Edna (Manning) Houghton and has been a long time area resident. Lorine was an avid sports fan, especially the METS, UCONN, and NASCAR. She enjoyed knitting, and socializing, and thoroughly enjoyed her family and friends. She was affectionately known as a "One Woman Hugging Machine". Lorine was a life long member of Golden Hill United Methodist Church, Bridgeport, The Order of Eastern Star, Church Women United and the Debra Circle. She retired from Bridgeport Hospital at the age of seventy-one, after over forty years of service, and was lovingly known there, as "Ma Bilisko". Survivors include her devoted children, 7 cherished grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews, and her extended church family. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Walter Barton officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Lorine's memory to Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 210 Elm St Bridgeport, CT 06604. Houghton, Warren S. of Kalamazoo Warren S. Houghton, age 87, passed away November 24, 2017 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Warren was born September 19, 1930, in Bellows Falls, Vermont, the son of Warren and Adah (Bowhay) Houghton. During the Korean War he served our country in the U.S. Navy. On October 5, 1952, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. (Pike) Houghton. For many years prior to his retirement he was employed as a machine tool salesman. Warren was a member of the Oshtemo United Methodist Church and the Kalamazoo Downstreamers. He enjoyed camping, canoeing, gardening, collecting stamps and bird watching. Warren especially loved spending special times with his family. Surviving are his wife Elizabeth M. Houghton; two daughters Pam "Kye" (Gary) Krafft and Paula (Jeff) Boes; four grandchildren Megan (Theodore) Gould, Kevin Krafft, Adam Boes, Nathan (Jessica) Meister; two great-grandchildren Alyssa Gould and Carter Gould; a sister Ruth Buchholz. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Dick Houghton. In accordance with Warren's wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM on Saturday, December 16th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A memorial service to celebrate Warren's life will begin at 11:00AM Saturday, December 16th at the Westside Chapel with Pastor John Fisher officiating. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a time of food and fellowship in the Westside Reception Hall. A private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials in Warren's memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
