Deathbefore 1847"In the letter written by brother Otis, 1847, he says Nehemiah is deceased."; CJV, Beals: not in 1840 or 1850 census anywhere
ProblemJWH incorrectly gives ancestry of this Nehemiah as Edward5, Nehemiah, Henry, John, John; Beals agrees, stating he is son of Daniel Houghton & Susannah Price (Beals: "His listing in the Houghton genealogy [pg 130, 377] placed him with the wrong wife and parents; however his army enlistment papers corroborated his birth year ca 1788 and birthplace as Winchester NH where vital records show the birth of Nehemiah, son of Daniel who later moved to Rockingham, VT. According to the erroneous description in the flawed Houghton genealogy he was the one who married Esther Lawson; however the man in Bethlehem was a very different Nehemiah from the man who spent his life in Connecticut with Esther Lawson, and the name of his wife in Bethlehem remains undiscovered."]
