Peter Page's Company of Volunteers in the service of the state, commanded by Ebenezer Walbridge, Lt. Col. Commandant.) On pay roll from August 6, 1781 to November 20, 1781- 107 days, total paid 7.10.8.Page 530 - Vermont Revolutionary Rolls: Elijah Houghton was paid for 103 miles of travel. 14 Total 1.14.4. Number of miles traveled indicate he belonged to a Revolutionary Army Scouting Company. Private in Mass. Militia. Placed on roll 9-7-1833. Commencement of pension 3-4-1831, age 70. Annual allowance 26.66, sum received 79.78 (From Pension lists in Windham County.)"

ML M: in Capt. Oliver Capron's Co., Col. Samuel Ashley's Reg. of militia, which marched on the relief of Fort Ticonderoga, 1777, as a pvt. Disch'd Nov. 13th. Rolls State Papers, V. 2, p. 543/213, 1770 to 1780. He removed from Petersham, MA, to Putney, VT, ca 1781, aged 19 years. The militia marched from Cheshire Co. at the requistion of Maj. Gen. Gates to reinforce the army at Ticonderoga.
