Georg Adam Horsch and Catherine P. Selig
Georg Adam Horsch and Catherine P. Selig
Georg Adam Horsch and Catherine P. Selig lived in Baden, Germany during the first half of the 1800's.
Catherine died in 1851, and a year later Georg Adam came to America with one of his sons, Johann Jacob.
They traveled to Belgium from Germany, and then sailed from Antwerp to New York on the ship France.
They arrived in New York City on April 9, 1852. Two of Georg's other children also emmigrated to America.
They were Catharina Elizabeth and Johann Friedrick.
Note:
The data on Johann Jacob Horsch, and his sister Elizabeth Horsch was provided by Karl Schwerin.
Most of this data was put together by Hattie (Horsch) Zabel up until 1964 when she died.
Hattie's genealogy shows Elizabeth Horsch and Johann Jacob Horsch as children
of Georg Adam Horsch -- b. 1799, d. 1867. Elizabeth was born in 1828, and Johann Jacob in 1825.
LaVonne Massey provided the information on Johann Friedrick.
This genealogy shows Johann Friedrick Horsch as the son of
Georg Adam Horsch married to Catharina Philippina Selig in 1824. Other children of
Georg Adam are Johann George Adam b. Nov 12 1825 and Catharina Elizabeth b. 1828.
This indicates that these two genealogies must represent the same family.
Either Johann Jacob and Johann George Adam are twins, or they are the same individual.
