Jacob Horch and Louisa Wolfe

Jacob Horch was born in Bavaria in 1826 to Phillip Horch and Luise Klein. Louisa Wolfe was born in Bavaria in 1837 to Daniel Wolfe and Katharina Hoffman. Jacob and Louisa married in Mimbach, Bavaria in 1858, and they had two children named Jacob and Louisa. Records show that Louisa travelled to America with her two children on the ship Atalanta from LeHavre, France. They arrived in New York on October 15, 1869.

Jacob and Louisa settled in New Jersey and had four more children there. Their names were Sarah, Martin, Philip and Henry. There is no further record of the eldest child Jacob after they arrived in America. Louis and Sarah married brothers from the Volker family. Martin remained single his whole life. Philip and Henry both got married and raised families. Both Philip and Henry changed their names from Horch to Horsch.
