John Horsch and Anna Bauer

John Horsch was born in Westfallen, Germany on September 19, 1819 to Johann Horsch and Elisabeth Stuhldreyer. He came to America in 1852 with his first wife, Catherine Pohle, and they travelled with John's brother Frank Horsch and and his wife Elizabeth Roland. It is believed that Catherine died between 1860 and 1863.

Anna Bauer was born in Germany on August 12, 1841, and she came to America in 1863. John and Anna were married around 1864 and lived in Lancaster township of Erie county, New York. They had four children in New York, and then moved to Hastings, Minnesota about 1874. After moving to Minnesota they had five more children. John died on November 9, 1886. Anna died on October 15, 1900.
