ELZA "HANK" PARKHURST was born Dec. 18, 1907 in Decatur
Co., Iowa to
Victor
and Lottie (Hullinger) Parkhurst. He departed this life on Tuesday,
May
4, 1993 at the age of 85 years 4 months 16 days at his home in
Eagleville
(Harrison Co.) Missouri.
Hank was united in marriage to Dorothy Stone, Dec. 18, 1928. To this
union
three sons were born, Donald, Cecil and Royal.
At the age of 8 or 9, he had to quit school and help take care of
his
brothers
and sisters. He was a farmer in and around Harrison County until
moving
to town.
Preceding him in death was his wife Dorothy; one son Donald; his
parents;
three brothers, Marion, Floyd and Dave; three sisters Cora Rhodes,
Bertha
Willis and Willaim Lewis.
He leaves to mourn two
sons, Cecil and wife Lola Mae of Wapello,
IA
and
family; Royal and wife Donna Jean of Natchez, TX and family; one
daughter-in-law,
Mildred Parkhurst of Portland, and family; 13 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren,
6 great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Orville, Clarence and Garland;
3 sisters, Ethel Bowen, Grace Hale, Lucille Fribranz and a host
of
relatives
