Hi Marie and all,
In checking the material that Robt N. Hullinger sent last fall, I may be
able
to help with Daniel Hullinger.  

*Daniel Jr. (1788-1856) born to Daniel (1757-1839) and Nancy Ann (Shockey)
Hullinger. (the second of 11 children) Daniel Jr. married Comfor Staunton
Cornwall on 8 April 1827 in Champaign Co., OH. They had at least three
children: Eli, Edwin and Daniel Jackson.

Daniel Jackson Hullinger (1833-1909) born in St.Paris, Johnson Twp.
Champaign
Co. OH married to Julia Ann Hockenberry in Marion Co, OH in 17 March 1854.
emigrated to south central Iowa by wagon train in 1864. Daniel Jackson's
brother, Edwin (Edward) Hullinger accompanied them, also settling in
southern
Iowa.  In 1868, Daniel Jackson married Mary Ann Kirk and they had nine
children. Following Mary Ann's death in 1891. Daniel Jackson married three
more times. Daniel Jackson farmed in Decatur and Union counties, serving
also
as a justice of the peace and a lay minister. 
Daniel Jackson Hullinger Jr. ["Dee"] (1881-1957) born 4 Nov 1881 in Davis
City, Decatur Co, IA to Daniel Jackson and Mary Ann (Kirk) Hullinger.
Married
to Cora Ellen Dodd 16 April 1903 and they had four daughters and one son.
Moved to Greybull Wyoming in 1921 .  Dee died 5 Sept 1957 and is buried at
Hillside Cemetery in Greybull.

Daniel Hullinger (1809- ) was born in either Ross or Greene Co. OH to
Christopher Hullinger and Mary (Crabb) Hullinger. Grew up in Clark Co OH.
Married Elizabeth Kenny on 6 June 1837 in Clark Co.  Don't know what
happened-
whether they were divorced or Elizabeth died, but Daniel married again   -
Anna Ducker, a widow  on 23 Dec 1838.  They had at least 4 children.

 * was a twin to my Jacob Hullinger
There is also a picture of Daniel Jackson and Daniel Jackson Jr. [Dee}
taken
when they were about 70 years of age.

Declaration, in order to obtain the benifit of the act of Congress.Passed
June
7,1832.
State of Ohio
Champaign County

        On this seventeenth day of October A.D. 1832. Personally appeared
in open
court, before Geo B. Holt, President, Jas. Smith, Wm Runkle, of the court
of
Common Pleas of Champaign County, now sitting, Daniel Hullinger a resident
of
Madriver Township, County of Champaign & State of Ohio, in the Seventy
Sixth
year of his age, who being first duly sworn according to laws doth on his
oath, make the following declaration, in order to obtain the benefit of
the
act of Congress passed June 7th A.D. 1832
        That he entered the service of the United States under the
following named
officers, and served as herein stated.
        He was born in Lancaster County, State of Pennsylvania on the 12th
day of
March A.D.1757. He had his age recorded (as taken from his father's Family
Record) in a book prepared & kept by him for the purpose of a Family
Record
Book.
        He continued to reside in the County in which he was born, untill
the year
1777, when a short time after harvest, (the day he does not remember,) he
volunteered for seven months, as a private in a company of volunteers
under
the command of Captain John Ashton--Gen. Bull was commander of the
Regiment or
Battalian;--the company was formed at Philadelphia--he was at the battle
of
Germantown near Philadelphia, in October 1777--he served out his seven
months
term, and received a discharge, which he has lost.
        Sometime after (the exact time he does not remember) he was called
out with a
company of militia under Capt. John Ashton-- and served a term of two
months
--during which time, he believes they were stationed a short time on
Chesnut
Hill near German Town, in Pennsylvania, he received a discharge, but has
lost
it-
        After which, a waggon and team of horses of his father, Christian
Hullinger,
was called into the service of the regular Army, in the neighborhood of
Lancaster,Pennsylvania, Daniel Barry being waggonmaster.--which team, he
the
said Daniel Hullinger drove for the term of eight months in succession,
and
was then discharged.
        His fourth and last term he believes was two months in guarding
the prisoners
at Lancaster barricks, (he thinks the prisoners were taken at Yorktown in
Virginia, on the surrender of Lord Cornwallis)--he was first Lieutenant
under
a Captain whose name he does not distinctly recollect:but thinks it was
Capt.
Fetter,or Vedder. he received his discharged, which is also lost.
        Soon after the war of the Revolution he removed to the State of
Virginia--from thence to Ross County in this State(Ohio)--from thence to
Champaign County Ohio, where he has resided for about sixteen years, &
where
he now resides.
        He has no documentary evidence, and knows of no person, whose
testimony he
can produce, who can testify to his services.
        He hereby relinquishes every claim whatever to a pension or
annuity except
the present and declares that his name is not on the pension roll of the
agency of any State, or (if any) only on that of the agency of the State
of
Pennsylvania.
