Memorial Day:
Memorial Day is a Federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May. It was originally know as as Decoration Day to commemorate Servicemen and Women who gave their lives in military service to their country. The Holiday was enacted honoring  Union soldiers of the American Civil War. It's now a day to honor all Veterans who died in all wars.

Pearl Harbor:
The surprise attack on Pearl Harbor against the naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was launched by the Japanese navy on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941, resulting in the United States becoming involved in World War II.

World War One:
World War I is known as the First World War, the Great War, and The War to End All Wars. In Europe 1914 to 1918. Over 40 million casualties and 20 million military and civilian deaths. On April 6th 1917, America declared war on Germany.

War in Afghanistan:
It began on October 7, 2001.  American Forces launched a response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Iraq War:
The Iraq War began 20 March 2003 by the invasion of Iraq by American Forces.
