“Jacob Waychoff, born 1788 in New Jersey or in Winchester, VA.; died Mar. 17, 1859. Went with his father to Frostburg, Md.; was a soldier in the War of 1818. About 1813-1815, with his two older brothers, William and Matthew, he left Frostburgh, to walk to Ohio, but his feet became sore, so he stopped in Waynesburg, Penna., to work for a month , intending then to go on to Ohio. Instead he stayed and married Nancy Bonar, an Irish girl, born 1794, died 1880.”
