Robert Smith

     Robert Smith was born on 10 September 1844 at Greene Co, PA.. He was the son of John Smith and Hannah Renner. He married Sarah Flaharty. He purchased 5 acres on ridge between Rock Camp Run and Church's Fork of Fish Creek, Wetzel Co, WV in February 1877. He moved back to Greene Co, PA, when his first wife died. in 1885. He bought an acre of land in Springhill Twp, Greene Co, PA. in October 1885. He sold his property in Wetzel Co, WV. in November 1885. He married Lenory Calvert, daughter of James F. Calvert, on 17 December 1885 at Waynesburg, PA.. He sold his property in Springhill Twp, Greene Co, PA. in September 1886. He was a was a gunsmith and later a furniture maker and carpenter. He died on 3 January 1922 at White Pine, WV., at age 77. He was buried at Knight Cemetery, White Pine Creek, Calhoun Co, WV..
