Photo Taken about 1886 - back of the photo says: To Grandma from Spenny
My deepest appreciation to Bonnie Christensen, a total stranger who collects antique photos and, spotting the writing on the back of the photo which includes the name Spencer Kellogg, searched the web and found my pages. Her complete story of this is in RootsWeb Review, Vol. 4, No. 17.Needless to say I was extremely excited when she wrote as I had family knowledge that Spencer was called Spenny throughout his childhood from letters his mother wrote her mother-in-law but I had never seen any childhood pictures of him.
