    Edward Tonkin was born in England in 1706 and died in Burlington

NJ April 5, 1768. He married Mary Cole in 1733. Mary was born May 7,

1715 and died in Burlington July 30, 1788.

    Israel Tonkin, a son of Edward and Mary (Cole) Tonkin, was born

April 15, 1755 and died January 27, 1811. He married Christina Rambo

in Philadelphia, PA August 5, 1776. Christina was born September 15,

1759 and died February 5, 1826.

    Jacob Champney Tonkin, a son of Israel and Christina (Rambo)

Tonkin, was born in PA January 13, 1804 and died in Braxton County VA

between 1860 and 1870. He married Anne Guest in Woodbury NJ. Anne was

born in NJ about 1799.

    The family moved to Braxton County VA before 1850 and is

enumerated in the 1850 census of that county.

    William C. Tonkin, a son of Jacob Champney and Anne (Guest) Tonkin,

was born June 10, 1829 and died in Braxton County WV January 11, 1882.

He married Mary Barker. Mary, a daughter of Edmund and Catherine Barker,

was born in VA in 1839.

a daughter of David H. and Catherine (Harper) Bright, was born in VA in

April 1848.

married Harriet Norman. Harriet, a daughter of James Burton and Minerva

(Cookman) Norman, was born in Braxton County March 29, 1868 and died in

1939.

Antony and Martha E. Simons, was born in Braxton County September 12,

1870 and died Jun 16 1962.

(Winemiller) Weaver, was born November 27, 1893 and died December 17,

1956.

      Felix was a veteran of US Army service in World War II service in North Africa and Italy.
