Joseph Anderson Strickland, a son of Joseph A. Strickland, was born

in Nicholas County VA (WV) January 26, 1858, and died May 29, 1894. He

is buried in Butcher Cemetery at Dille, WV. He married Rachel Madora

Butcher January 22, 1885 in Nicholas County. Rachel, a daughter of

Warwick and Mary Margaret (Dilley) Butcher, was born February 12, 1861

in Nicholas County VA (WV), and died January 07, 1960. She is buried in

Butcher Cemetery, Dille, WV.

Rachel married Moses Sherman Nicholas December 22, 1898. Moses, a

son of Charles Willard and Evaline Nicholas, was born December 22, 1879,

was Baptized February 11, 1898 in New Hope Baptist Church and died

November 30, 1961. He is buried in Butcher Cemetery at Dille.
