1.WARNER WASHINGTON SHACKLEFORD

 

    Warner Washington Shackleford was born in VA about 1805.  He married

Susan Jane Kearnes in Faquier County VA January 18, 1830. Susan, a

daughter of Jacob Kearnes, was born inVA about 1812. The family moved to

Harrison County WV in the 1850's.

4.JAMES WILLIAM SHACKLEFORD    1.WARNER WASHINGTON SHACKLEFORD

 

    James William Shackleford, a son of Warner Washington and Susan Jane

(Kearnes) Shackleford, was born in Loudin County VA September 13, 1841

and died in Harrison County VA August 25, 1909.  He married Mary

Virginia Latta in Lewis County WV June 26, 1867.  Mary, a daughter of

George M. and Christine A. (Haught) Latta, was born in Harrison County

February 26, 1850 and died there July 28, 1888.

    James served the Union in the Civil War in the 3rd W.Va. Volunteer

Cavalry from 1861 to 1864.

    After Mary died, James married her half sister, Sydnia A. LattMarch

15, 1890. Sydnia, of George M. and Pamelia (Snyder) Latta, died March

30, 1948 in Harrison County.

    James Thomas Shackleford, a son of James William and Mary Virginia

(Latta) Shackleford, was born in Lewis County WV November 18, 1883 and

died in Gilmer County WV October 5, 1950.  He married Hannah E. Walton

August 8, 1901.  Hannah, a daughter of William C. and Catherine E.

(Latta) Walton, was born September 9, 1885 and died in Harrison County

WV April 6, 1965.

daughter of Howard Osborn and Laura F. (Brown) Ware, was born in

Gilmer County September 15, 1916 and died August 27, 1981.

    Lee's second wife is Sylvia P. (Lattea) Lunsford.
