George Rowland
Romine, a son of Thomas and Nancy (Rowland) Romine,
was born in Wood County VA (WV) April 2, 1846 and died
there March 23,
1919.
George served
the Confederacy in the Civil War in Co F 17th VA
Cavalry (CSA). He was taken prisoner in the Shenandoah
Valley of VA
November 12, 1864 and was held at Point Lookout until
July 1865.
George married
Ellen Flynn in December 1870. He married Victoria
Flynn in 1877. Both were daughters of John Flynn.
