1.PETER REIP

 

    Peter Reip, a son of Nicholas Reib, was born in York County PA

about 1778 and died in Braxton County WV between 1860 and 1870.  He

married Barbara Ollinger in York County November 9, 1807.  Barbara, a

daughter of Johann Peter and Anna Barbara Ollinger, was born in York

County September 3, 1781 and died in Braxton County WV after 1870.

The couple moved to Huntingdon County PA shortly after their marriage

and are found in the 1860 Braxton County VA (WV) census in the home of

their son Peter.

    Juliana Reip, a daughter of Peter and Barbara (Ollinger) Reip, was

born in York County PA September 2, 1808 and died September 2, 1897.

She married William Dickey.  William in Cambria County PA in September

1841.  Juliana is listed in the 1850 census of Braxton County VA (WV) as

a head of a household.

    Elizabeth Reip, a daughter of Peter and Barbara (Olinger) Reip,

was born in York County PA May 12, 1810 and died in Braxton County WV

May 6, 1881.  She married George Sandow in PA and the couple moved to

Braxton County before 1840  George, whose name is also recorded as

Sands and Sandoe, was probably born in PA before 1800. He apparently

died in Braxton sometime in 1846.

    Elizabeth married Charles Duffield in McHenry County IL March 8,

1849.  Charles, a son of John and Elizabeth (Frame) Duffield, was born

in 1807.  He first married Louisa Bail.

30, 1898.  He married Edith Amanda Chenoweth in Braxton County VA (WV)

September 5, 1847.  Edith, a daughter of Robert and Edith (Skidmore)

Chenoweth, was born in Randolph County VA (WV) September 11, 1821 and

died in Gilmer County December 31, 1902.

His second wife was Vada Parsons.  Vada, a daughter of Henry Curtis and Lucille Cansas (Tucker) Parsons, was born in Calhoun County WV September 27, 1916 and died in Espyville, PA December 29, 2007. Her second husband was Dale Davis.
