Julius Worth
Pell, a son of William Fairfax and Anne Evelyn
(Ravenscroft) Pell, was born in Preston County VA (WV)
August
29, 1850 and died in Calhoun County WV in 1919. He enlisted as a
drummer in Co B 11th W.Va. Volunteer Infantry in Wirt
County VA (WV)
December 24, 1861 and served until his honorable
discharge at Camp
Deep Bottom, VA January 4, 1865. It was recorded in the Congressional
Record in 1912 that Julius W. Pell was the youngest
soldier to serve
the Union in the Civil War.
Julius married
Florence Stump January 26, 1880.
Florence, a
daughter of Lemuel and Malinda (Huffman) Stump, was born
January
1, 1858 and died April 27, 1932.

married Minnie Edna Elliot at Eldorado, KS in 1917.
Minnie, a daughter of Wesley and Mary (Proudfoot) Elliot,
was born in
1885 and died October 14, 1982. The family moved to Calhoun County WV
in 1919.
