1.WILLIAM MCMORROW

 

    William McMorrow was born in Ireland about 1788.  He emigrated to

America and served in the War of 1812.  In 1817, he married Margaret

Malloy in Hardy County, VA (WV).  Margaret was born at Moorefield,

Hardy County VA (WV) in 1794.

    William and his family moved to Canoe Run in Braxton County, VA

(WV) in 1851 to join their son Job, who had settled there in 1846.

    Job McMorrow, a son of William and Margaret (Malloy) McMorrow, was

born in Hardy County VA in 1819 and died in Braxton County, WV in

1903.  He married Jane McCoy in Braxton County VA November 10, 1846.

Jane, a daughter of James G. and Elizabeth (Cutlip) McCoy, was born in

Nicholas County VA April 13, 1829.

    Job worked first as a schoolteacher and farmer before becoming a

physician.  His wife Jane was a midwife.

County VA about 1839.

1853.

Jehu Stalnaker in Braxton County VA (WV) September 27, 1855.

Jehu , a son of Eli and Mary (Westfall) Stalnaker, was born in

Randolph County VA (WV) April 29, 1825.

Braxton County WV in 1916.  He married Sintilla Fox in Braxton County VA September 29, 1859. Sintilla was born in VA about 1827.

    James served the Union in the Civil War in Co F, 10th W.Va.

Volunteer Infantry.  He was wounded in 1864.

(Boggs) Mollohan, was born in 1862 and died about 1885.

    Millard married Delila Ellen Mollohan, a daughter of Elliot and Mary

Bing (Boggs) Mollohan, was born February 10, 1864 and died May 7, 1951.

She was a sister of Millard's first wife and was the widow of Oliver E.

McCoy.

    Rosalie McMorrow, a daughter of Willis James and Mattie (Duffield) McMorrow, was born WV April 20, 1918 and died in Boliver, Ohio July 11, 2009.  She married Samuel Miller.  Sam, a son of Bedford and Pina (Harris) Miller, was born

in 1908 and died in 1988.

Interment will be in the Duffield Cemetery at Duck, WV.

(Duffield) McMorrow, was born July 2, 1925.  She married John Elmer

Duffield.  John, a son of J. Crate and Florence (Nichols) Duffield,

was born November 28, 1920.

    Clarence McMorrow, a son of Willis James and Mattie (Duffield)

McMorrow, was born in Clay County WV May 30, 1927 and died in Norwalk, OH May 22, 2005.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He married Genevieve Dean in 1947. Genevieve was born in Clay County June 5, 1930.

    The family has lived in Norwalk, Ohio since the mid-1950's.

Hester Helen McMorrow, a daughter of Willis James and Mattie (Duffield) McMorrow, was born in Caly County V September 4, 1928 and died in Braxton County April 5, 2006. She married Clyde Raynell Graham,who preceded her in death.

1946.  Ralph, a son of Otis and Alice (Rader) Butler, was born May 23,

1923.   The family lives in Norwalk, Ohio.

McMorrow.  She married Kenneth Otto Nutter in 1950.  Kenneth, a son of

Leonard and Rose Nutter, was born in WV in 1931.

    The family are long time residents of Norwalk, Ohio.
