Hugh McMillan was born in Ireland about 1750 and died in Ohio in

1830. He emigrated to Baltimore, MD and enlisted in the Continental

in 1776 as a commissioned officer. He served until 1781.

Jordan McMillan, a son of Thomas and Priscilla (Watson) McMillan,

was born in Jefferson County, OH May 20, 1827 and died in Washington

D.C. August 25, 1898.

He married Bathsheba Knox September 7, 1851. Bathsheba was born

about 1831 and died in Roane county WV November 14, 1871.

Jordan and Bathsheba live in Marshall County VA (WV) until about

1867, when they moved to Roane County.

Jordan married Martha Blair in 1872. The couple moved to

Washington, D.C., where Jordan died. He is buried in the Otto

cemetery in Roane County WV.
