Isaac Lloyd was probably born about 1785 and died in Rockingham County VA in 1811. He married Julia Ann Sirk in Shenandoah County VA September 17, 1808. Julia, a daughter of Adam and Catherine (Poe) Sirk, was born in Virginia November 24, 1784 and died in Braxton County WV February 24, 1875. After Isaac's death, Julia married Christian Hyer in Rockingham County VA in 1815.

Isaac Hyer Lloyd, a son of Isaac and Julia Ann Sirk (Lloyd)

was born in Rockingham County VA March 19, 1812. He came to Braxton

County Va (WV) in 1816 with his mother and step father, Christian

Hyer. Isaac married Catherine Mary McPherson May 25, 1835. Catherine, a

daughter of Joseph and Anna (Damude) McPherson, was born in Stafford

County VA October 7, 1819 and came to Braxton County with her family

May 1, 1822.

Sarah Ellen Lloyd, a daughter of Isaac Hyer and Catherine Mary

(McPherson) Lloyd, was born in Braxton County, VA (WV) February 27,

1839

and died there January 14, 1878. She married Matthias Gerwig in

Braxton

County July 31, 1857.

Matthias, a son of Georg Friederich and Juliana Elizabeth (Konig)

Gerwig, was born in Germany July 3, 1832 and died January 4, 1920. He

emigrated to Catonsville, MD with his family in 1833 and came to the

German settlement in BRaxton County, VA (WV) with them in 1840.

Mathias was a superb horseman and served in the Civil War in

General Philip Sheridan"s escort. He was in 91 engagements during

that

war. Mathias served as a post master of German, WV (now Chapel).

After Sarah Gerwig's death Matthias married Susan E. Whitesel

November 24, 1878.

March 17, 1875 in Braxton County. Julia, a daughter of Adam and

Nancy (Morrison) Gillespie, was born in Braxton County January 12,

1851.

County Va (WV) November 8, 1856 and died there June 18, 1946.
