1.MASTON LEMON

Maston Lemon was born in Rockbridge County VA March 11, 1827 and

died in Braxton County WV September 1, 1893. He married Mary

Frances Reynolds in Alleghany County VA November 17, 1850. Mary was

born in Rockbridge County January 1, 1831.

Although Maston's father is not known at this writing, he is

identified as a grandson in Conrad Lemon's will. Conrad Lemon was

born in Frederick County VA March 18, 1770 and died in Alleghany

County June 27, 1843. He married Nancy Gilliland in Botetourt

County VA in April 1801. Nancy was born in Rockingham County VA

March 20, 1779 and died in Alleghany County February 5, 1860.

The Maston Lemon family moved to Braxton County WV about 1865.

2.JAMES WILLIAM LEMON 1.MASTON LEMON

James William Lemon, a son of Maston and Mary Frances (Reynolds)

Lemon, was born in Alleghany County VA August 27, 1852 and died in

Lewis County WV January 5, 1928. He married Matilda Jane Bosley in

Braxton County WV February 27, 1878. Matilda died about 1885.

James married Verina J. Stalnaker in Braxton County WV May 17, 1887. Verina, a daughter of Sullivan Isaac and Drusilla Goff (Frame) Stalnaker, was born in Braxton County VA May 8, 1862 and died in Lewis County WV April 11, 1939.

Children of James William and Matilda Jane (Bosley) Lemon.

Lemon, was born in Alleghany County VA in April 1855 and died in Braxton

County Wv in 1924. He married Phoebe Lucy Hammer in Gilmer County WV.

Phoebe, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Simmons) Hammer, was born in

Gilmer County in 1857 and died in Braxton County in 1910.

The family moved from Gilmer County to Braxton County about 1898.

September 12, 1909. Mortimore, a son of Mortimore Harmon and Leah

Tabitha (Morrison) Rose, was born in Braxton County WV July 24, 1886

and died April 17, 1968.
