3.HENRY JUERGENS 1.LEOPOLD JUERGENS

Henry Juergens, a son of Leopold and Sophia (Stalman) Juergens, was

born in Fuerstenberg, Brunswick, Germany July 12, 1832 and died in WV

September 8, 1909. His father died in Germany around 1851 and the family

came to America the following year. An older brother, Bernard, came to

America in 1848 and a sister, Sophia (wife of Frederick Knabe) is said

to have come to America around 1855.

Family tradition says they departed Germany at the port of Bremen

and arrived in America at the port of Baltimore and traveled by train to

Wheeling in present day WV.

Henry married Regina Bernadine Ritter in in Ohio County VA October

23, 1859. She is listed as Catherine Ritten on the marriage certificate.

Regina, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Dorothea Ritter, was born in

Germany March 8, 1842 and died July 5, 1902. She came to America with

her parents in 1853.

County WV July 25, 1936. He married Minnie Johanna Hilke August 5, 1884.

Minnie was born May 31, 1863 and died July 25, 1936.

Juergens, was born in Wheeling, WV August 17, 1869 and died in

Braxton County WV in 1947. He married Annie Tyo. Annie was born

November 18, 1873 and died May 27, 1936.
