      George Hashman was born in Monroe County Ohio in 1872. He married Essa Ellen Dobbins in Braxton County WV February 17, 1898. Essa, a daughter of Levi Newton and Samantha Emily (Moore) Dobbins, was born in Gilmer County Wv in April 1877 and died in 1966.

      The family is listed in the 1910 Gilmer County WV census.

      Lon N. Hashman, a son of George and Essa Ellen (Dobbins) Hashman, was born in Gilmer County WV about 1903. He married Hettie Jane Keener March 19, 1926 Braxton County WV. Hettie, a daughter of William Martin and Amanda C. (Brady) Keener, was born in Braxton County WV February 22, 1906 and died March 26, 1947.

      Darril Hashman, a sob of Lon N. and Hettie Jane (Keener) Hashman, was born in in Braxton County WV February 8, 1929 and died in Calhoun County WV November 28, 2010. He married Phyllis Deulley October 25, 1954 Deep Creek MD. Phyllis survives.
