1.BENJAMIN GUNN

 

    Benjamin Gunn was born about 1790 near Aberdeen, Scotland.

He emigrated to America in 1812.  He married Janet -----.  Janet

was also born in Scotland about 1790.  It is not known whether

the couple married in Scotland or America.

    The family eventually settled in Greene County PA.

3.FRANKLIN GUNN     1.BENJAMIN GUNN

 

    Franklin Gunn, a son of Benjamin and Janet Gunn, was born

about 1815.  He married Mary McDaniel.

3.SAMUEL GUNN     1.BENJAMIN GUNN

 

    Samuel Gunn, a son of Benjamin and Janet Gunn, was born in Greene County PA in 1824 and died at Wellburg, WV in 1910.  He married Carolina Alley.  Carolina, a daughter of John and Hannah (Clark) Alley, was born in Greene County in 1836 and died in Calhoun County Wv in 1917.

    The family moved to Calhoun County about 1881.

      Seldon L. “Sell” Gunn, a son of Samuel and Carolina (Alley) Gunn, was born in Greene County PA about 1864. He married Mary “Cassie” Sturm March 24, 1897 in Calhoun County WV. Mary, a daughter of John N. and Margaret Magdalene (Halsey) Sturm, was born about 1863.

    Jesse C. Gunn, a son of Samuel and Carolina (Alley) Gunn, was born

in PA in December 1868. He married Phoebe E.-----. Phoebe was born in WV

in May 1870.

    James Aley Gunn, a son of Samuel and Carolina (Alley) Gunn, was born in Greene County PA in July 1879 and died in Calhoun County WV in 1938.  He married Barbara Booher in Calhoun County March 27, 1897. Barbara, a daughter of Samuel and Caroline Booher, was born in WV in August 1882 and died before 1910. He married Elizabeth “Lizzie” Kelley in Calhoun County WV July 31, 1910. Elizabeth, a daughter of Alpheus B. and Henrietta (Goodnight) Kelley, was born in Calhoun County WV July 31, 1910.

    Eddie Gunn, a son of Seldon L. and Mary “Cassie” (Sturm) Gunn, was born in Calhoun County WV in 1989. He married Delia Wilmoth in Calhoun County March 20, 1921. Delia, a daughter of Marion Wilmoth, was born in WV about 1900.

(Booher) Gunn, was born in Calhoun County WV in June 1897.  He married

Charlotte "Lottie" Smith.  Lottie was a daughter of Levi and Minerva

(Bunner) Smith.

(Booher) Gunn.  He married Ruby Smith.  Ruby was a daughter of

Levi and Minerva (Bunner) Smith.

    Donald Gunn, a son of Peter Poe and Lottie (Smith) Gunn, was born in

Calhoun County WV in 1920 and died there January 15, 2003. He married

Vonda Holpp. Vonda, a daughter of Frank and Edna (Haught) Holpp, was

born in 1920 and died in Wood County WV November 28, 2002.

    He was a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Corps, with service

in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.

    Denzil Clark Gunn, a son of Clark and Ruby (Smith) Gunn, was

born about 1920 and was living in 1989.  He married Ruby Irene

Jarvis in 1942.  Ruby, a daughter of Spencer "Dock" and Effie

Jeanette (McClain) Jarvis, was born in Calhoun County WV January

20, 1921.  The couple divorced in 1960.
