died in Licking County OH October 29, 1847. He married Dorothy Powell
August 12, 1779.
Dorothy was born March 21, 1754 and died September
4, 1834.
Samuel was a
private in a New Jersey Regiment and lived in
Burlington County NJ until 1787. He moved his family to Augusta
County VA in that year and they lived in Augusta county
until 1812.
The family moved to Licking County OH in 1813 and Dorothy
and Samuel
lived out their lives in that County.

4, 1835 and died November 2, 1907.
Jeremiah
enlisted in 31st VA Volunteer Infantry CSA in 1861 and
was discharged in 1862 because of typhoid. He enlisted in the
Confederate Cavalry in 1863.. He was taken prisoner at
Staunton, VA May
24, 1865 and signed an oath of allegiance to the Union
May 27, 1865.
The family
lived in Augusta County Va during the Civil War, but
moved to Gilmer County WV in 1870.
