Counts, was born about 1825.  He married Katherine Rasnick

November 23, 1848.

    Joshua Counts, a son of Elijah Shelby and Katherine (Rasnick)

Counts, was born in Russell County VA (WV) about 1860.  He

married Mary McCoy.  The family moved to Roane County WV about

1890.

    Oscar Hawkins Counts, a son of Joshua and Mary (McCoy) Counts, was

born in Russell County VA about 1890 and died September 7, 1965.  He

moved to Roane County WV with his family. He served in the US Army in

World War I.  He married Esther Kendall November 20, 1928.  Esther, a

daughter of Permilius D. and Mimmie M. (Taylor) Kendall, was born

about 1906.

    Mary Louise Counts is a daughter of Oscar Hawkins and Esther

(Kendall) Counts.  She first married Russell Stump.  Russell died

February 9, 1981 and Mary married Bob Sinnett.

    Frances Faye Counts, a daughter of Oscar Hawkins and Esther

(Kendall) Counts, was born in Roane County WV in 1942 and died there November 11, 2005. She married Tommy A. Jackson.  Tommy is a son of Ovie and Myrtle (Coe) Jackson.
