Burnside, was born in Harrison County WV August 1, 1863
and died in
Gilmer County Wv December 29, 1955. He married Matilda
Cathryn "Kate"
Fox in Lewis County WV March 7, 1888. Matilda, a daughter
of Jacob
Albert and mary Susan (Straley) Fox, was born about 1868
and died in
Lewis County WV November 7, 1940.
In the autumn
of 1901, the family moved to Gilmer County where they
purchased a farm on the Little Kanawha River at the mouth
of Sinking
Creek. Sometime in the late twenties or early thirties,
they moved back
to the house at Sand Fork in Lewis County.
