    James Bleigh was born in PA October 21, 1800 and died in Braxton County WV March 02, 1875.  He married Mary B. "Polly" Burkholder August 17, 1825 in

Rockingham County VA. Mary, a daughter of John and Rosannah (Blaine)

Burkholder, was born in VA about 1805 and died in Braxton County January 17, 1861.

    The family apparently moved to Braxton County VA (WV) between 1850

and 1860. Their name is spelled Bly, Bligh, and Bleigh in various records.

Mary, a daughter of Warwick and Mary Jane (Hyer) Harper, was born in Lewis County VA February 9, 1860 and died in Muskingum County OH January 27, 1944. She married Albert Kniceley January 31, 1881. Albert, a son of Samuel Ervin and Lydia Jane (Phillips) Kniceley, was born about 1857 and died February 18, 1897.

   Asbury and Mary Jane separated sometime in the 1920's.
