He ran a woolen mill and was rumored to have been from Virginia. He is mentioned in the histories of Vincennes, IN. David donated the land for the Epispocal church where his daughter Louisa and Benjamin Harrison were married. According to the histories, David's mill went bankrupt, and he died in financial ruin. No records of his descendants can be found in Vincennes after about 1830 or so.
There is another David S. Bonner who also ran a woolen mill but in Chillicothe and Greenfield OH. This David S. Bonner has children with the same names as the David S. Bonner in Vincennes. But he is Presbyterian. David is active in OH and then dormant for a period when the David shows up in Vincennes. Then David is active again in OH.
So any info you have thay may prove or disprove the David (OH) and David (IN) are one and the same person would be -very- much appreciated.
