The microfilms referenced by this online index can be accessed free in Victoria, at the Vancouver Public library and probably other places. The ones shown here were obtained by going in person and making copies for the cost of photocopying.

John Harris and Elizabeth Reader were married October 18, 1857 in Bonavista, Newfoundland. Three of their six children are know to have settled in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Herbert Harris born June 24, 1864 in Bonavista, Newfoundland.
Rosanna Harris born November 9, 1868 in Bonavista, Newfoundland.
Harriet Harris born November 13, 1870 in Bonavista, Newfoundland.

Giles Harris and Susanna Fisher were married June 22, 1844 in Bonavista, Newfoundland. We believe that at least one of their grandchildren settled in Vancouver, British Columbia.
