Early Bollingers

 

This information comes from a book written in 1916 by F O Pestalozzi
The History of the Bullinger families of Bremgarten and Zurich

This data came from two seperate manuscripts and records of the 17th Century.

From the 1508 diary of Heinrich Bullinger "Index to Bullinger family and what they contributed to Bremgarten churches" by Heinrich Bullinger the elder, pastor at the great cathedral.

The second with the same title written in 1680 by Henirich Bullinager, Pastor at Richtiswil.

b 1440 d 1522.  Their children were: Heinrich, Hans Jakob, and Hans.

Anna Widerker of Bremgarten

Heinrich was named Judge at Hermeswil, obtained a house at Bremgarted which was later conficated in the Chapel War.  He then went to live iwth his son in Zurich and is buried in the great cathedral.  Anna is buried to the left of the big door of the cathedral.

Office at court for the Hessian Landgrave.  He died in the French attack on Nederland in the Battle of Orange 1569

Hans Bullinger

Dietheim Bullinger.

During the years of 1564 and 1565 3700 people died of the plague in Zurich.  Heinrich's wife and daughter and daughter-in-law died of the plague.

Johann Balthasar Bullinger, studied painting.
some of his paintins were Peter Pa, The Sphynx, Moses and the Serpant, Rebecca at the Well and Death of Iphogenia.

How we tie into this family of Bullingers is not known by me.
