West Australia Commercial catch data to 2012 for Salmon, Herring & Pilchard (from Fisheries Department reports)
Shows the collapse of the Salmon fishing industry, with catches declining from 2000-4000t to 75t per year, after cessation of Australian salmon canning in Australia. The commercial catch of herring reduced from 1000t to 200t per year. The Pilchard catch reduced from 8000t to 2000t per year.

HEBERLE FISHING 2005-2014 (persons L >R) Since 2004 Heberle professional fishing operations have been at a very low level due to lack of markets, low prices and lack of fish. Schools of salmon (.20 fish) have virtually stopped visiting this beach.
