His father, James Sylvester (Sid) Gore, was the son of John T. Gore and Nancy Ann.  John T. was the son of Thomas and Priscilla Gore.  He moved from Tennessee to Union County, IL, sometime in the late 1850's.  After the Civil War he married Nancy Ann Underwood Groves (He died in 1870 from complications of injuries received during the war, and she married Frank Morgan).

Everett was born Christmas day, 1892, so the picture must have been taken in 1893.  He died June 1, 1918 of pneumonia related to the influenza epidemic.
