Mission Statement:

The DNA Genealogy Group of Long Island (DGGLI), founded in 2017, has as its mission to educate and inform people about the use of DNA testing for genealogical purposes.


Service, Resources, or Benefits Provided to Members

The DNA Genealogy Group of Long Island holds educational monthly meetings to aid members in their DNA research efforts. 


Normal Meeting Schedule (Please confirm before attending since schedules could change.)  

Meetings are open to the public. There is no charge for non-members; all are welcome. Meetings are held from 10:00 am to noon on the first Saturday of the month at alternating locations, including July and August. 

Meetings held at the Bethpage Public Library-located at 47 Powell Avenue, Bethpage (Nassau) are in Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct and Dec. 

Meetings held at the Patchogue-Medford Library-located at 54 East Main Street, Patchogue (Suffolk) are in Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep and Nov.

Membership year begins upon payment of dues. Annual dues: $25.00 (U.S.)
