This Indenture made the 27th day of February in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four Between WILLIAM JOHNSON of the County of Warren and State aforesaid in behalf of the Justices of sad County and their Successors on the one part and LAURENCE LANCASTER of the County of Warren of the other part Witnesseth that the said WILLIAM JOHNSON in pursuance to an order of said County Court made this day and according to the direction of the act of Assemblies in that case made and provided doth to with place and bind unto the said LAURENCE LANCASTER a child by the name of HENRY EVANS to live after the manner of an apprentice and Servant untill he attain to the age of Twenty one years during all which time the Said apprentice his master Shall faithfully serve and his Lawfull commands Every where gladly obey he shall not at any time absent himself from his masters service without leave but in all things as a good & faithfull Servant Shall behave towards his Said Master and the Said master or LAURENCE LANCASTER doth covenant promise and agree to and with the Said WILLIAM JOHNSON and that he will Teach and Instruct or cause to be taught and Instructed the Said HENRY EVANS to read and write. Write and the Business of a planter and that he will constantly find and provide for the Said apprentice during the time aforesaid sufficient Diet washing Lodging and apparel and also all other things necessary both in Sickness and in health in Witness whereof they have Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and year above written.

MORRIS EVANS Indenture

Warren County

This Indenture made the thirtieth day of in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and in the thirtieth year of the Independence of the State, Witnesseth that DUDLEY CLANTON of said County, hath put and placed MORRIS EVINS a boy of Colour aged about twelve years an apprentice to RICHARD SUTTON of said County, with him to dwell reside and serve until he the said apprentice shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, according to the act of Assembly in that case made and proved; during all which time the said apprentice his master shall faithfully serve in all lawful business towards his said master for and during the said term, as an apprentice ought to do; And the said RICHARD SUTTON doth covenant, promise and agree, to and with the said DUDLY CLANTON and his successors that he the said RICHARD SUTTON will provide and allow his said apprentice convenient and sufficient meat, drink, lodging and apparel and use his best endeavours to instruct him in the art and calling of a Planter and also to teach him to read and write before the expiration of his apprenticeship. In witness whereof, the said RICHARD SUTTON and the said DUDLY CLANTON have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals, the day and year above written.

IVINS to SIMS INDENTURE

Warren County
This Indenture, made this 25th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and Six and in the thirty first year of the Independence of the State, Witnesseth, that THOMAS CHRISTMAS of said County, hath put and placed MORRIS & ARGY EVANS Infants of Colour, MORRIS aged about fifteen & ARGY about thirteen years old an apprentice to JOHN SIMS of said county, with him to dwell, reside and serve until they the said apprentices shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, according to the Act of assembly in that case made and provided; during all which time the said apprentice his master shall faithfully serve in all lawful business towards his said masters for and during the said term, as an apprentice ought to do. And the said JOHN SIMS doth covenant, promise and agrees to and with the said THOMAS CHRISTMAS and his Sucessors, that he the said JOHN SIMS, will provide and allow his said apprentice convenient and sufficient meat, drink, lodging and apparel, and use his last endeavours to instruct him in the art and calling of Planters and also to teach him to read and write before the expiration of his apprenticeship.

SIMS' BOND

Know all men by these presents, that we JOHN SIMS and JOSEPH HAWKINS are held and firmly bound unto THOMAS CHRISTMAS, BENJ'N KIMBELL & JNO. DANIEL Justices of the Peace for the County of Warren in the Sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds to which payment well and truly to be made to the Justices aforesaid or their Sucessors in office we bind ourselves our heirs executors and admr's jointly and severally firmly by those presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 25th Day of November A.D. 1806.
The Condition of this above obligation is such that whereas the above bounden JOHN SIMS hath by an order of this Court two infants of Colour aged one about 15 & the other about __ years Bound to him the said JOHN SIMS the Said [missing words] of Colour by the Names of MORRIS & ARGY EVANS now if the said JOHN SIMS shall not remove the said Boy out of the County and shall at all times have ready to appear before this Court when thereunto Required them this obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
